 Math is not a Mystery 

All students can learn math. We help students master math skills, using a variety of teaching techniques and tools, so that they can move on to higher level concepts.

• Our math enrichment program moves students beyond their current skill level so that they can achieve higher level math goals.
• Assessment of current skill levels. 
• Remediation of essential math skills such as: multiplication and other math facts, fractions, decimals, percents, integers
• Use of manipulatives, real-world examples and problem-solving units in Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry

 Study Skills

Our “Learning Lessons” Program teaches students how to learn through our study skills courses and workshops.  They will use these skills throughout their lives as they take high school courses, college courses, and training classes for their careers.

• We teach students how to take tests.  How to prepare for the various types of tests such as multiple- choice, true/ false, essay, and standardized tests.
• We teach students time-management skills.  They learn how to plan their study time, manage long-term assignments, and specific study techniques that match their learning style.
• We teach students techniques for learning various types of materials, studying for tests in each subject area, and ways to review for different tests.
• Our note-taking techniques help students get information from written material, class lectures, presentations, and videos.  Students learn techniques such as mapping, highlighting, using outlines, and various types of shorthand.

Ohio Graduation Test 
            
We help students achieve their highest possible score on the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT).

• Assess areas of weakness and give students experience with the test formats by using practice tests
